Watch me silently.
Drag me down as rain starts to fall,
Wash my fears away.
I don’t care what you do,
I just want to stay here.
As my eyes trail over a nearby streetlamp,
Moths flutter around the comforting glow.
Lunescent rays fall around us,
A feather light haze upon your skin.
How I love to gaze
Upon the comforting stillness of the moon,
And tune everything out.
No system can stifle this feeling.
Let us break free from this tiring façade,
Throw a spanner in the robotic cogs
Of controlling minds.
We are like those moths,
But we strayed from the knowledgeable lights,
We flutter in the darkness,
We find our own way.
